Inter Milan have officially completed the signing of England international John Stones, with the experienced defender putting pen to paper on a two-year contract after leaving Manchester City as a free agent.
The 32-year-old has been unveiled in Inter’s famous black and blue colours, bringing an end to a glittering decade at the Etihad Stadium and beginning a new chapter in Serie A.
Softfootball previously reported that Stones had arrived in Milan to complete his medical and finalize the remaining formalities. The transfer has now been officially confirmed, making the England defender Inter’s latest high-profile addition.
The move comes shortly after Stones helped England secure a third-place finish at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, once again demonstrating his importance at the highest level of international football.
At Inter, the veteran centre-back will strengthen the reigning Serie A champions’ defence as they prepare to defend their league title and compete once again in the UEFA Champions League. Stones will also reunite with former Manchester City teammate Manuel Akanji, giving Inter additional experience and quality at the heart of their backline.
