Antony Open To Extending Stay At Real Betis Beyond Loan Spell

Manchester United loanee Antony has admitted he would welcome the opportunity to remain at Real Betis beyond his current loan spell after making an encouraging start to life in Spain.

Softfootball understands the Brazilian winger is enjoying his football again following a difficult period at Old Trafford and is eager to continue contributing to Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

The 24-year-old joined Betis during the January transfer window in search of regular playing time and has already made a positive impression with his performances. Antony acknowledged that the move has given him renewed confidence after enduring challenging moments over the past year.

While insisting his immediate focus is on helping Betis achieve their objectives, the winger admitted he would be pleased to extend his stay if all parties can reach an agreement at the end of the season.
