Cristiano Ronaldo has described himself as the most complete footballer in history while highlighting the different areas in which he has excelled throughout his career.
The Portugal international made the claim during an interview with Spanish television programme El Chiringuito.
Ronaldo pointed to his remarkable goalscoring record and ability to score with his head, right foot, left foot, penalties and free-kicks as evidence of his versatility.
Speaking about his achievements, the Al Nassr forward said he believes his numbers speak for themselves, saying:
Who’s the best goalscorer in history? It’s about numbers. Full stop
I think I’m the most complete player to have existed. In my opinion, I think it’s me. I do everything well in football: with my head, free kicks, left foot. I’m fast, I’m strong.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also acknowledged the different opinions surrounding the greatest players of all time, mentioning Lionel Messi, Pele and Diego Maradona.
According to Softfootball, Ronaldo has continued to maintain an exceptional level of performance despite being 39 years old.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star also insisted that his competitive mentality continues to drive him, adding that he remains determined to achieve more in football.
