Cristiano Ronaldo has offered his thoughts on Kylian Mbappe’s role at Real Madrid, insisting that the French superstar should not be viewed as a traditional centre-forward.
Mbappe has regularly played through the middle for Real Madrid since joining the Spanish giants, but Ronaldo believes the forward could become even more effective if he adapts his game in a way that reflects his natural qualities.

According to Softfootball, Ronaldo said he would personally help Mbappe develop as a No. 9 if he were in charge at Real Madrid, while explaining that he himself was not originally a striker. Ronaldo said.
I would teach him to play as a 9. Because I wasn’t a striker. I got used to playing as a striker. I used to play on the wing and people forget.
The Al Nassr forward believes Mbappe has the ability to succeed in the position but should not be expected to play like a conventional striker.
Ronaldo added that Mbappe could learn from his own evolution as a player, particularly how he adapted from playing on the wing to becoming one of football’s most prolific goalscorers.
