Arsenal quickly took control of the contest, with teenage defender Myles Lewis-Skelly scoring his first goal for the club to make it 3-1.
Havertz added a fourth in the 76th minute before Ethan Nwaneri completed the rout with a superb finish in stoppage time.
The victory moved Arsenal to 47 points, keeping them within touching distance of Liverpool at the top.
