Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has provided a worrying update on Romeo Lavia’s injury, revealing that the midfielder’s condition is more serious than that of teammate Enzo Fernandez.
Softfootball reports that both players picked up muscular injuries during Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth, with the club yet to determine how long they will remain unavailable.
Maresca admitted that Lavia’s injury is the more concerning of the two, although the Chelsea boss remains hopeful that both midfielders can make quick recoveries.

Romeo is a more important injury than the Enzo one. We don’t know how long they will be out. Both injuries were against Bournemouth. Muscular problems, muscle issues.
The injuries come at a difficult period for Chelsea, who are navigating a demanding schedule while dealing with squad concerns.
However, the Blues returned to winning ways on Monday night after ending a five-match winless run with a 3-0 victory over Wolves.
Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke were all on target as Chelsea secured a comfortable win.
The result moved Maresca’s side into fourth position in the Premier League table, one place above Manchester City.
