Swiss Super League side FC Zurich have expressed interest in signing Arsenal forward Nathan Butler-Oyedeji as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the January transfer window.
The England-born striker, who is eligible to represent Nigeria, has impressed with Arsenal’s youth teams this season, although negotiations over a new contract are understood to have stalled.
Softfootballgathers that FC Zurich have already made enquiries about the 21-year-old’s availability, according to reports from Football Insider.
Butler-Oyedeji joined Arsenal’s academy at the age of eight before signing his first professional contract in 2021. He has enjoyed an impressive campaign with the Gunners’ Under-21 side, registering seven goals and six assists in just nine appearances.
The young forward has also gained valuable senior experience during loan spells with Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham Town, making 24 League One appearances across both clubs.
Despite yet to establish himself in Arsenal’s first team, Butler-Oyedeji has been included in several Premier League and UEFA Champions League matchday squads this season, highlighting the club’s belief in his potential.
