Arsenal are considering a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer window, as the club continues its search for a recognised out-and-out number nine.
Despite Mikel Arteta regularly praising Kai Havertz’s contributions leading the attack, Arsenal have maintained long-term interest in the Serbia international, whose current Juventus contract runs until 2026.
Softfootball can confirm that Arsenal have reached out to Vlahovic’s entourage once again, with Juventus boss Thiago Motta reportedly not entirely convinced the striker fits his system.
Arteta is said to view Vlahovic as an ideal fit for his style of play, with Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak also on the club’s radar as an alternative option.
While Newcastle are believed to want upwards of £115m for Isak, Juventus are reportedly more open to offers in the region of £53.6m for Vlahovic.
Arsenal’s interest suggests a striker signing could be a genuine priority when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
