Ademola Lookman is expecting a difficult night as Atalanta prepare to host Real Madrid in a crucial UEFA Champions League clash at the Gewiss Stadium on Tuesday.
It marks the second meeting between the two sides this year, following Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Atalanta in August’s Super Cup.
Softfootball learns that Lookman is well aware of the challenge Carlo Ancelotti’s side will pose once again. He said:
It will be a very difficult match for us tomorrow. We will be very focused on how to set up the match.”
The Nigerian added that his side are determined to move past previous results and focus purely on the upcoming test. He continued:
What we have done in the past belongs to the past, tomorrow we will have the opportunity to give our best.
Atalanta currently sit fifth in the standings, while Real Madrid find themselves down in 24th following defeats to Liverpool, Milan, and Lille earlier in the competition.
