Despite continuing to shine for Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, Messi has faced a number of injury setbacks this season, limiting his appearances. Nevertheless, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner has remained one of the club’s most influential figures, helping inspire the team’s impressive campaign in the Eastern Conference.
While many former football stars have ventured into coaching after retirement, Messi suggested that following that path is not part of his current plans.
Instead, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward prefers to focus on enjoying the final years of his playing career rather than worrying about what comes next.
Messi, whose current contract with Inter Miami runs until the end of 2025, has also been the subject of growing speculation regarding his future. Reports continue to link him with a contract extension, a possible move elsewhere, or retirement once his current deal expires.
