Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed that the club rejected a staggering €250 million offer for teenage sensation Lamine Yamal six months ago.
Softfootball noted that the offer was reportedly made by Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, but Barcelona had no intention of selling one of the brightest young talents in world football.
Laporta insisted the 17-year-old is currently one of the most popular footballers in the world and believes his true value goes far beyond any transfer fee. While Yamal is valued at around €150 million by Transfermarkt, the youngster’s Barcelona contract includes a €1 billion release clause, underlining the club’s determination to keep him.

The Barcelona president also reaffirmed the club’s transfer stance, stressing that any player who wishes to leave must attract an offer that reflects his true market value before the club would consider a sale.
Laporta praised the impact of new manager Hansi Flick, adding that players such as Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski have significantly improved under the German coach, while the arrival of Dani Olmo has further strengthened the squad.
