England’s injury concerns continue to mount ahead of their final 2026 FIFA World Cup group-stage match against Panama, Softfootball reports.
Elliot Anderson is a major doubt after suffering muscle tightness, with the 23-year-old midfielder currently dealing with a glute issue. The injury is understood to be unrelated to his recent move to Manchester City.
Declan Rice has also been ruled out of the Panama clash through injury, with growing concerns that the midfielder could miss England’s Round of 32 fixture as well.
Meanwhile, Reece James has already been confirmed unavailable after sustaining a minor hamstring injury. The Chelsea captain will miss the final group game and remains a doubt for the Round of 32, although the issue is not considered serious.

England were also dealt a blow before the tournament even began, with Tino Livramento ruled out of the World Cup squad through injury.
Thomas Tuchel’s side will now hope their growing injury list does not derail their ambitions as the knockout stages approach.
