Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman remains keen on securing a new challenge despite failing to leave Atalanta during the summer transfer window.

Softfootball reports that Lookman has not ruled out a January departure, with the Nigerian international still open to leaving the Serie A club should a suitable offer arrive when the transfer window reopens.

The 26-year-old pushed for an exit during the summer after attracting strong interest from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Atalanta stood firm on their valuation and refused to sanction the move before welcoming the forward back into Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad.

According to Sky Sports Deutschland transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, the former Leicester City winger remains eager to move on and could once again request to leave in January if the right opportunity presents itself.

Atalanta are reportedly prepared to consider offers in the region of €30 million for Lookman.

However, the Italian club could increase their asking price if the Nigeria international continues his impressive goalscoring form over the coming months.
