Manchester City are interested in signing Chelsea defender Malo Gusto this summer, with incoming manager Enzo Maresca reportedly keen on a reunion with his former player.
Maresca is set to return to the Etihad Stadium as Pep Guardiola’s successor after agreeing a three-year contract with the Premier League giants. The Italian, who previously worked with Gusto at Chelsea, is believed to be pushing for the French full-back to become one of his first signings.
City’s interest comes as the Blues have already strengthened their options at right-back after hijacking Inter Milan’s move for Marco Palestra.

according reports reaching Softfootball, Chelsea are understood to be willing to listen to offers exceeding £40 million for the 23-year-old defender as they continue to reshape their squad ahead of the new season.
Should negotiations progress, Gusto could become one of the headline transfers of the summer as Manchester City begin a new chapter under Maresca.
