Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has spoken openly about the club’s plans to sign a €150 million player, confirming that the target is a young, elite‑level footballer capable of exciting the fans and continuing the club’s tradition of marquee signings.
Pérez did not reveal the player’s identity, but he made several key clarifications that have narrowed the possibilities.
According to the Real Madrid president, the €150m signing is intended to be a “Galáctico”, comparable to the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaká, players who defined eras at the Santiago Bernabéu.

When asked whether the mystery player is a forward, given Real Madrid already have Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior. Pérez insisted that the club “always needs more”, adding that the target is not a defender, but could be either a midfielder or an attacker.

He also confirmed that the €150m bid is not for a Premier League player, which effectively rules out names such as Enzo Fernández. Pérez further clarified that the bid is not for Jeremy Doku, Harry Kane, Erling Haaland or Michael Olise
Softfootball understands that Real Madrid’s intention is to secure a young superstar who fits the club’s long‑term sporting project and global brand identity.
Pérez emphasised that his goal is always to excite the fans and bring the best players in the world to Real Madrid, reinforcing the club’s ambition to remain at the top of European football.
