Arne Slot has maintained that both he and outgoing Liverpool star Mohamed Salah only want what is best for the club. Softfootball gathered, while Speaking to the media, Slot explained that he has evolved the Liverpool team and believes they now play a successful brand of football that fans can appreciate.
He also expressed surprise that some people are worried about the team’s playing pattern, insisting that the same approach helped Liverpool win the Premier League title during the 2024/25 season.

You say Salah wants to play heavy metal style and you say it is not mine. It led to us winning the league last year, my style, which Mo was happy to play.

I have to evolve the team now to play a brand of successful football that I like and the fans will too. I haven’t liked a lot of what we have played this season”.
Slot also recently congratulated Arsenal for winning the Premier League title. While speaking to the media, the Liverpool manager highlighted Arsenal’s effectiveness from set pieces, stating that around 40 percent of their goals came from dead-ball situations.
