Four years later in 2010, the first ever World Cup hosted by an African nation, held in South Africa, was Ronaldo’s second World Cup.

Spain won the 2010 FIFA World Cup, defeating the Netherlands 1–0 in the final after extra time, courtesy of a dramatic 116th-minute goal by Andrés Iniesta. This tournament, hosted by South Africa, marked the very first World Cup title in Spain’s history.

In 2014, Ronaldo also participated in the World Cup hosted by Brazil. In 2018, the tournament was hosted by Russia and won by France. In 2022, hosted by Qatar, Argentina led by Lionel Messi won the World Cup.

Now Ronaldo will also be in the 2026 World Cup hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico all together. This should be Ronaldo’s last World Cup considering his age, as he hopes to lead Portugal to win their first ever World Cup.
