Florentino Pérez has confirmed that he does not have cancer as calls for his resignation continue to grow among sections of Real Madrid supporters.
Softfootball had earlier reported that the Madrid president rejected calls for his resignation following the club’s difficult 2025/26 season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Pérez addressed the rumours directly, saying:
I’m still president of the club and my company, which has a turnover of 50 billion a year. My health is perfect. If they told me I had cancer, I’d have to go to a cancer center. It would have been all over the world. It’s not true.
The Real Madrid president also maintained that he could not comment on the club’s next managerial appointment amid ongoing speculation surrounding the future of the team’s coaching position.

Reports continue linking José Mourinho with a possible return to Real Madrid, as the club reportedly looks for a manager capable of handling the growing tension within the dressing room.
