Al Nassr and Al-Hilal are set to collide in a potentially title-defining clash at Al Awwal Park on Tuesday night in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest matches of the Saudi Pro League season.

Softfootball understands that Al Nassr currently lead the standings with 82 points after a remarkable campaign that has seen them record 27 wins from 32 matches. A victory here would place them firmly on the brink of the title, while Al-Hilal know that three points, combined with their game in hand, could completely reopen the race.

Under Jorge Jesus, Al Nassr have been almost unbeatable at home, winning 14 of their 15 league matches at Al Awwal Park. Their latest outing saw them defeat Al Shabab 4-2, with Joao Felix scoring a hat-trick and Cristiano Ronaldo adding another goal to continue his incredible form.

The memory of the reverse fixture will still be fresh for the league leaders, as Al-Hilal claimed a convincing 3-1 victory earlier in the season. That defeat is expected to serve as major motivation for Ronaldo and his teammates heading into this crucial encounter.

Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal arrive full of confidence after recently lifting the King’s Cup Final with a 2-1 victory over Al Kholood.

Al-Hilal remain unbeaten in league play this season and possess one of the league’s most dangerous attacks, scoring 81 goals while conceding just 26. Their ability to perform in high-pressure matches makes them a serious threat despite the intimidating atmosphere expected at Al Awwal Park.

Recent meetings between the clubs also slightly favour Al-Hilal, who have won three of the last five encounters across all competitions.

With the Saudi title hanging in the balance, the clash promises drama, intensity, and huge pressure on both sides. For Ronaldo and Al Nassr, victory could almost seal the championship. For Al-Hilal, it represents a final opportunity to turn the race upside down and force a dramatic finish to the season.

Prediction

Softfootball predicts Al-Nassr 1-2 Al-Hilal
Even with Al Nassr’s home advantage, superior league position. We believe the desperation that comes with a title on the line would play a major role on Jesus’s side and might be the reason they bottle the league.
