FIFA through their official X channel has announced plans to transform Science World in Vancouver into “The Beautiful Dome,” a massive 40-metre, 360-degree recreation of the official adidas Trionda match ball for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Softfootball reports.
The installation will convert the venue’s iconic geodesic dome into a football-inspired landmark ahead of the tournament co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The Trionda match ball, whose name means “three waves” in Spanish, features 131 custom-designed panels symbolizing the unity of the three host nations.
Softfootball believes the structure is one of the major promotional attractions leading into the largest World Cup in history. Installation work is expected to begin in May 2026, with the full reveal planned for early June.

FIFA also launched its “Be Active” campaign in the city, bringing together children from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations for football clinics alongside FIFA Legends.

The initiative focused on youth engagement, inclusion, and promoting healthy lifestyles through football.
With Vancouver preparing to host World Cup matches, “The Beautiful Dome” is expected to become one of the city’s standout football attractions ahead of kickoff in 2026.
