Football analyst Adika has sparked controversy after praising Kobbie Mainoo’s new contract at Manchester United while heavily criticising former manager Rúben Amorim, Softfootball confirms.
Mainoo has now committed his future to United until 2031, ending months of uncertainty. The 21-year-old, who joined the club’s academy in 2014, has already made 98 appearances and famously scored the निर्णcing goal in the 2024 FA Cup final, while also representing England at Euro 2024.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Adika described Mainoo’s contract renewal as a major win for the club, insisting fans should be grateful for the managerial change. He went further, claiming Amorim’s tenure nearly derailed the young midfielder’s development, even suggesting Mainoo had considered leaving, with links to clubs like Chelsea.

Speaking with strong conviction, he said:
As a Manchester United fan, every single day that you wake up, before you say your morning devotion, before you thank God for you life, go on your knees and swear for Robben Amorim. Swear for him everything single day make it a part of your life make it part of your daily schedule then after you swear for him, swear for all his supporters, swear for all the people that wanted to keep him at your club, swear for all the people that was defending him when he was benching all the players like kobbie Mainoo.
Look at the kobbie mainoo he was benching I told you that that rubben Amorim is a very wicked man. He wanted to ruin this boy’s career, at one point we were hearing rumours that he wants to go on loan to even a club like Chelsea.
I love the fact that the boy knows his worth, and you need players that know your worth in your club at a point he wanted to leave cause he knows that although his young, he deserves to be playing every single minute. If it was a situation that he was sitting on the bench for Paul Scholes or The Micheal Carrick himself or the other great midfielders no problem. No midfielder that was playing in his position was better than him.

On the other D Real Kombo also delivered a detailed breakdown of the thrilling UEFA Champions League semi-final clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, which ended in a dramatic 5-4 first-leg victory for PSG on Tuesday 28th 2026.
Adika’s remarks have divided fans, with some agreeing that securing Mainoo’s future is a crucial step, while others believe the club’s broader ambitions—such as returning to the UEFA Champions League—remain the bigger priority.
