Softfootball can confirm Nicolas Jackson is set to return to Chelsea FC this summer after Bayern Munich decided against activating the €65 million buy option in his loan deal.
The update was confirmed by Bayern director Max Eberl, ending speculation over a permanent move despite Jackson’s solid contributions this season.
Speaking via Fabrizio Romano on his official x handle, the striker’s agent Diomansy Kamara defended his client’s performances, stating: “Nico is having an excellent season with 28 matches played, 10 goals.” He also highlighted Jackson’s achievements, including winning major honours and reaching a crucial stage of European competition.

Romano posted:
Nico Jackson’s agent Diomansy Kamara: Nico is having an excellent season with 28 matches played, 10 goals. African champion, German champion and also qualified for the (cup) final.
Bayern Munich did not want to activate the buy option, and Nico remains 100% focused on the Champions League semi-final against PSG, a very important moment for him and for the club.
Bayern is a very big institution; the most important thing is to win as many trophies as possible by the end of the season. The future… who can predict it? Trust the Process, Everything Is Possible
Kamara stressed that the forward remains fully focused on Bayern’s upcoming UEFA Champions League semi-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain, describing it as a defining moment for both player and club.

Despite Bayern’s decision, the agent maintained a diplomatic stance: “Bayern is a very big institution… the most important thing is to win trophies.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea head into the FA Cup final with renewed confidence after their recent win over Leeds United, adding another layer of intrigue to Jackson’s impending return.
