Trevoh Chalobah is closing in on a move to Como, with Chelsea expected to respond today to the Serie A club’s latest offer.
Como have submitted a proposal worth €25 million fixed plus €5 million in easily achievable bonuses, and discussions are now entering the final stages.
An agreement with Chalobah has already been in place for several days, with the Chelsea defender fully convinced by Cesc Fàbregas’ project and eager to begin a new chapter in Italy.
Softfootball understands that earlier in July, Como temporarily paused their pursuit of Chalobah while club president Mirwan Suwarso held discussions with Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta regarding the defender’s situation.

At the time, Como indicated they would only return with another offer if Inter withdrew from the race. With Inter no longer leading the chase, Como have accelerated negotiations and are now on the verge of reaching an agreement with Chelsea.
Inter, meanwhile, remain firmly in contention and are continuing discussions with Chalobah’s representatives as they explore the possibility of bringing the versatile centre-back to San Siro.
A final response from the Blues is expected today as both clubs work towards completing the transfer.
