Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season came to an end on Saturday following a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Softfootball reports that the Gunners were forced to play with 10 men for much of the contest after William Saliba received the first red card of his professional career, leaving Mikel Arteta’s side with a difficult task against an energetic Bournemouth outfit.

For the third time in eight league matches this season, Arsenal found themselves reduced to 10 players after Saliba was sent off on the half-hour mark for denying Evanilson a clear goalscoring opportunity.
Despite holding firm for much of the game, the visitors eventually cracked midway through the second half when Ryan Christie fired Bournemouth into the lead in the 70th minute.
Justin Kluivert then sealed the victory from the penalty spot after Arsenal conceded a spot-kick, ensuring Bournemouth claimed a deserved three points.
The defeat leaves Arsenal in third place and denies them the chance to move to the top of the Premier League table before Liverpool and Manchester City play on Sunday.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, climbed to 10th position after securing their third league victory of the campaign, while Arsenal will now look to bounce back quickly in their next fixture.
