Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso says his team is raring to go ahead of their La Liga encounter against Valencia on Saturday night. Speaking at Valdebebas, as shared on their official X account, the Spanish tactician stressed the importance of staying alert after recent strong performances. Alonso’s remarks come as Los Blancos prepare for another demanding week featuring two league games and a Champions League fixture. He said:
After a big win, you can sometimes drop off — and we don’t want that to happen.

After a convincing victory in El Clásico in which Mbappé and Bellingham starred, as reported by Softfootball, Alonso urged his players to maintain focus and respect a Valencia side led by Carlos Corberán, whom he praised for tactical discipline and quality. He said:
Last year, they won at the Bernabéu, so we can’t relax. We want to close this block of fixtures with good energy.
Alonso also applauded Kylian Mbappé after the Frenchman received the Golden Boot for the 2024/25 season, as reported by Softfootball, describing him as mature, influential, and deserving of support from everyone in the team.

The coach also addressed Vinícius Júnior’s recent apology following his controversial reaction during El Clásico as the Brazilian met with teammates and spoke from the heart. Alonso confirmed the matter was closed and praised Vini’s honesty and commitment. He said:
He showed sincerity and what the club means to him.
When asked about young forward Endrick, Alonso admitted he would like to give the teenager more minutes but hinted that game contexts have limited opportunities. Alonso said:
He’s training well and he’s ready

The Real Madrid boss also lamented Dani Carvajal’s latest injury setback, noting the right-back will be out for several weeks. He said:
We will miss him because he is important every day.
Despite challenges, Alonso remains upbeat. He said:
The team is full of desire and confidence. We just need to keep this rhythm, stay humble, and face each game with the same seriousness.
