Willam Saliba set to sign new Long-Term deal with Arsenal

Arsenal fans can breathe a little easier William Saliba is on the verge of committing his future to the club, after weeks of negotiations, the French defender is now very close to signing a new long-term deal at the Emirates.

Softfootball earlier reported that both Saliba and his teammate Bukayo Saka were in advanced talks with the club over extensions, with Mikel Arteta desperate to secure his young core for the future. The breakthrough with Saliba now looks imminent, much to the delight of the Arsenal faithful.

According to top journalist Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, the defender is ready to seal his new contract after Arsenal improved their offer, he stated:

BREAKING: William Saliba, on the verge of signing new long term deal at Arsenal after improved proposal, as per @David_Ornstein.

AFC sent new contract terms in August, assessed by Saliba and his agent in the recent weeks.

Saliba now close to accepting and get it sealed.
