Declan Rice has defended teammate Viktor Gyökeres following his latest goal drought for Arsenal this season, Softfootball reports.
The England international scored twice as the Gunners defeated Bournemouth 3-2 at the Vitality Stadium at the weekend in the Match-Day 20 of the premier league to help them maintain top spot with 48 points, six points more than Manchester City and Aston Villa in second and third respectively.

Speaking in an interview shared by football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle. Rice said:
Trust me, he’s doing unbelievably for us, and we wouldn’t be where we are without him… he will 100 per cent score. Defenders in the Premier League want to be able to stop Viktor Gyökeres, because he’s one of the best strikers in the world.
Arteta hailed Declan Rice after he scored a brace against the Cherries as the Gunners continue their title push this season. However, there’s a huge worry for fans of the club as Gyokeres has not been scoring for the team in regular fashion as expected.

The big Swede has infact struggled for goalscoring form since he arrived England for a whopping £64million from Sporting Lisbon, scoring just five premier league goals and many fear that may be Arsenal’s undoing in the race to emerge premier league champions this season.
Arsenal will be back in action on Thursday when they host current premier league defending champions, Liverpool on Thursday at the Emirates.
