UCL: Barcelona players land England ahead of Newcastle’s clash 

Spanish giants Barcelona have jetted to England as they face Newcastle for Thursday’s encounter in their first Champions League game of the season. 

Barcelona are coming from their 6-0 heavy win during the weekend against Valencia at the Johan Cruyff stadium on Sunday. A game that saw the trio of Raphinha, Lewandowski and Pedri registering a brace for Catalonia.

The game against Newcastle will be both teams’ first meeting. The Magpies, who recorded their first win of the season last Saturday from Nick Woltemade’s strike, will be motivated for the test. Having failed to win in their last three games before Saturday’s miracle from the German player.

However, Hansi Flick may not feel the absence of Lamine Yamal, who has been ruled out due to injury for such a crucial game. 

But the likes of Lewandowski, Pedri, and Marcus Rashford will be available to help Catalonia secure maximum points on Thursday. The game will be played on Thursday by 8pm at the St James park.
