Andre Onana’s future has been a huge point of speculation throughout this summer and the Cameroonian maybe finally set to leave the club sooner rather than later.
Softfootball understands that Turkish club, Trabzonspor has reached verbal agreement with 20-time Premier League winners Manchester United for Onana, who is no longer considered as first choice by manager Ruben Amorim.

According to Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, the former Inter Milan goalkeeper needs to give his greenlight for the deal to be finalised. He said:
BREAKING: Trabzonspor reach verbal agreement with Manchester United to sign André Onana on loan.
Club to club verbal agreement in place and final decision now up to Onana.
It’s only up to the goalkeeper. 🇹🇷
The transfer window in England is closed but still open in Turkey until September 12. Onana is currently not happy at Old Trafford as he has been relegated to the team’s third choice after playing as the undisputed number one last season.
Onana has not played in any Premier League matches this season as Turkey international, Altay Bayindir has been picked ahead of him for the three matches played so far this season against Arsenal, Fulham and Burnley.
Onana’s only outing this season has come against League Two side Grimsby and it was a disgraceful elimination from the Carabao Cup after drawing 2-2 at full time and losing 12-11 on penalties.
Onana’s performance in that game did not inspire confidence as it forced the club into the market and Manchester United signed Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp as a possible replacement for the former Ajax goalkeeper.
Last season, Manchester United cut players wages by 25% after failing to reach the UEFA Champions League as they finished 15th on the Premier League log and lost the final of the Europa League against Tottenham Hotspur.
The decision didn’t sit well with Onana and his representatives and they demanded for a new improved contract from Manchester United. That move infuriated manager Amorim, who immediately dropped the Cameroonian as first choice for the new season.
The Premier league is currently on break and after the international break, it would be the Manchester derby. It is left to be seen if Onana will still be at the club by then.
