Tottenham vs Villarreal: Muani set for debut, Solanke out, Frank confirms

France international, Randal Kolo Muani is likely to make his Tottenham Hotspur debut in the UEFA Champions League against Villarreal on Tuesday evening, Softfootball reports.

The striker who played on loan last season at Juventus joined Spurs in the summer but he is yet to make an appearance for the North London club. Just last weekend, he was an unused substitute in the 3-0 win at West Ham on Saturday.

During his pre-match press conference, Spurs manager, Thomas Frank told Tottenham Hotspur’s official media that Muani make his debut in Matchday One of the league phase of the Chapions League against the La Liga side. He revealed:

Randal is ready. How many minutes? You know, they can always play more minutes than we think. If we needed him to play, he could play 90 minutes, but it’s getting him to play at the intensity and level we want. He’s ready and he’s involved tomorrow and that’s the main thing.

However, Dominic Solanke remains sidelined with an ankle injury as he missed Tottenham Hotspur training. Just like long-term absentees Radu Dragusin, Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison, the former Bournemouth striker remains out. Frank said:

Dom is taking steps in the right direction, that’s positive, but he’s not ready to be involved tomorrow.

Tottenham have started the premier league in fantastic fashion, winning three and losing one at home. They have nine points from a possible 12 and sit third on the premier league table.
