Latest reports have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are now in direct contact over the possible deal for £60m rated Eberechi Eze, Softfootball reports.
The 27-year-old has already informed the Eagles hierarchy that he would love to join Spurs and work with their new manager Thomas Frank, who is a huge admirer of the England international.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, informed that the deal is edging closer to completion with both clubs now willing to make it happen.
He said:
“EXCL: Tottenham and Crystal Palace chairmans Daniel Levy and Steve Parish, in direct contact today for Eberechi Eze deal.
“Understand Spurs are willing to offer £55m fixed fee plus £5m add-ons to get the deal done.
“Eze informed Palace last week of his desire to join #THFC.”
Interestingly, Eberechi Eze played in Crystal Palace’s opening match of the Premier League season against FIFA Club World Cup champions, Chelsea at Stamford bridge. He scored a freekick but it was later ruled out by VAR as the game ended goalless.
Eze has been one of the standout players for the Eagles and in the Premier League and gave the club fans a precious gift last season when he scored the only goal in the FA Cup final to beat Manchester City to the title, a moment that can never be erased from Palace’s history.
Eze also played a vital part as Crystal Palace beat Liverpool via penalties to win the FA Community Shield for the first time in their history.
Spurs are dealing with injuries to key players and some vital departures. England international, James Maddison will miss majority of the season after he picked up an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Also, Dejan Kulusevski is still not available after undergoing knee surgery. South Korea star and Spurs captain Son Heung-min left the club after 10 years for Major League Soccer (MLS), having scored 173 goals in 454 appearances.
Eze scored 14 goals in all competitions for Crystal Palace last season. The midfielder joined Palace from Queens Park Rangers in a deal worth £19.5m in 2020 and has scored 40 goals in 168 matches.
Eze’s current contract at Crystal Palace is due to expire in the summer of 2027.
