Brentford manager Thomas Frank has praised Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou for the work he has done at the North London club despite the team’s recent struggles.

Frank, speaking ahead of Brentford’s Premier League meeting with Spurs, said he understands the difficult position Postecoglou finds himself in, particularly with injuries affecting his squad.

According to Softfootball, Tottenham have endured a challenging period, with inconsistent results adding to the pressure on the Australian manager.

Frank, who experienced a similar injury crisis with Brentford last season, believes Postecoglou has the ability to guide Spurs through their current difficulties. Frank said:

We were also hit very hard by injuries last year, so from that perspective, I understand the situation Ange is in now at Tottenham.

He added that poor results can make life even more difficult for managers but expressed confidence in Postecoglou’s ability to respond. Frank stated:

He doesn’t need advice, but he just needs to trust his own processes and trust what he believes in, which he does – that’s the main thing.

Frank also recalled Tottenham’s impressive performance against Brentford earlier in the season and warned that Spurs can be difficult to contain when playing at their best.

I expect a game between two teams that want to attack, so it could be open at times,

he added.
