Softfootball understands Pressure is already mounting on Roberto De Zerbi at Tottenham Hotspur after the club made a disastrous start to the 2026/27 Premier League season.
Spurs have failed to win any of their opening three league matches, while an even more worrying statistic has emerged they are yet to score a single Premier League goal this season.
Tottenham’s latest setback came against Nottingham Forest, where the two sides played out a goalless draw. The result extended Spurs’ unwanted run and marked the third consecutive Premier League match in which De Zerbi’s side have failed to find the back of the net.
The 0-0 draw also meant Tottenham became one of the few teams to open a Premier League campaign without scoring in their first three fixtures, increasing concerns over their attacking performances under the Italian manager.
The situation has reportedly left Tottenham extremely unhappy, with pressure already beginning to grow around De Zerbi’s position.
The former Brighton manager is now facing an important test ahead of this weekend’s meeting with Everton. Another defeat could significantly increase the pressure on the Tottenham boss and raise serious questions about whether he will remain in charge.
Spurs had already suffered a damaging result earlier in the campaign when Newcastle United secured a 2-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, handing Tottenham their second consecutive Premier League defeat of the season.
That loss followed their opening-day disappointment and was another indication of the difficulties De Zerbi’s side have experienced at both ends of the pitch.
Tottenham’s inability to score has arguably become the biggest concern. While defensive issues can sometimes be corrected through tactical adjustments, failing to register a league goal across three matches points towards deeper problems in attack.
The draw against Nottingham Forest was also frustrating because Forest themselves remain winless under Oliver Glasner. The City Ground side have managed just one victory in their last 13 home league matches, yet Tottenham were unable to take advantage.
