Amidst the call from Barcelona to leave, Marc-André ter Stegen announced that he will remain at Barcelona till the end of his contract. Softfootball can confirm that Hansi Flick Barcelona coach had told Ter Stegen that he is not part of the team for next season.
The German goalkeeper who was injured for most part of last season was wanted by Galatasaray who are in search of a goalkeeper and were ready to offer him a 4 year contract as reported by Softfootball.

Marc-André ter Stegen, 33 years old, had been at Barcelona since 2014 after he moved from Borussia Monchengladbach where he had been all his career before his move to Spain.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen wrote an emotional message to Culers which was posted by transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano on his verified X handle.
The letter read:
“Dear Culers,
“I wear the colors and jersey of FC Barcelona with great pride, whether on or off the pitch, in moments of success and in difficult times. Today is a personally difficult day for me.
“Physically and athletically, I feel in very good shape, although unfortunately I am not free from pain. After intensive discussions with the FC Barcelona medical team and external experts, the quickest and safest way for me to fully recover is through back surgery.
“After my last operation on my back, I returned to the pitch after 66 days—almost two months; this time, the doctors believe about three months will be necessary as a precaution, to avoid any risks.
“Emotionally, it hurts a lot not being able to support the team during this time. Fortunately, the rehabilitation is manageable and the road back is clear.
“I will keep you updated on my recovery and I sincerely want to thank you all, dear Culers, for always being by my side. Don’t worry—I’ll be back!
“Yours, Marc.”
Marc-André ter Stegen’s absence will be a significant blow for Barcelona both on and off the pitch, but the club and its supporters will be hoping for a smooth and full recovery.
With his commitment and positive outlook, the German goalkeeper is determined to return stronger and continue playing a key role for the club.
Barcelona will have new signing from local rivals, Espanyol, Joan Garcia and the man who replaced Ter Stegen last season, Wojciech Szczęsny as the two first team goalkeepers for next season.
