Head Coach Justine Madugu has on Friday, 10 July 2026, unveiled a 25‑player Super Falcons squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where Nigeria will attempt to defend their continental crown at the tournament’s 14th edition, scheduled from 26 July to 16 August 2026.
The squad features captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Africa’s top goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, veteran defender Osinachi Ohale, midfield standout Jennifer Echegini, and star forward Asisat Oshoala.
Softfootball understands that 16 countries will compete at WAFCON 2026. The four semi‑finalists will qualify automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, while the fifth‑placed team will advance to the intercontinental playoff tournament.
