Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-min Son has expressed his frustration after his side suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Leicester City in the Premier League.

Spurs appeared to be in control after taking the lead, but Leicester fought back after the break to secure a crucial victory.

The defeat left Son disappointed with Tottenham’s performance, with the South Korean admitting that the team lost concentration and allowed the Foxes to turn the game around.

According to Softfootball, Son believes Tottenham must learn from the defeat and improve their decision-making in key moments. Son told BBC Match of the Day:

It is very painful. Especially when you’re winning at half-time and conceding two goals in a short period of time. It was a very frustrating afternoon.

The forward also dismissed fatigue as an excuse, insisting that a lack of concentration and sloppy play contributed to the result.

Son added that Tottenham must remain focused despite the pressure surrounding the team, while hoping the return of injured and experienced players can help strengthen the squad.

The defeat was another setback for Spurs, who will now look to respond positively in their upcoming fixtures.
