The love between Victor Osimhen and Galatasaray was never lost as the fans came in thousands to welcome the Nigerian as he landed in Istanbul on Wednesday night, Softfootball reports.
The 27-year-old was pictured at the airport with vice president Abdullah Kavuçku and George Gardi who worked on the deal en route to Istanbul.

With a large crowd waiting for the Nigerian superstar in Turkey hours later, Galatasaray announced via its official X handle.
Galatasaray announced:
“Victor Osimhen has landed in Istanbul.”
Osimhen was welcome by a large crowd of Galatasaray fans and they did the “CIMBOMBOM” chat together as they celebrate a great reunion.
Osimhen is scheduled to have his Galatasaray medical on Thursday before signing a four-year contract with the club.
Earlier in the window, Osimhen rejected a humongous €700, 000 weekly offer from Al-Hilal to join the Saudi Arabia side before the FIFA Club World Cup as he wanted to stay in Europe after scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances on loan at Galatasaray last season.
The former CAF Player of the Year was also determined not to return to Napoli and refused to show up for pre-season as he waited for Galatasaray to finalise his deal with Napoli.
Both clubs finally agreed on a deal and have already exchanged documents, according to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
Galatasaray agreed to pay Osimhen’s €75 million release clause and provided bank guarantees that ensured they pay €40million now and €35million at the end of the 2026 season with a 10% sell-on clause.
Osimhen is reportedly set to earn a whopping €16 million annually which automatically makes him one of the best players in Turkey.

Osimhen scored 65 Serie A goals in 108 appearances during his time in Naples, and was the Capocannoniere in the 2022/23 season when he inspired Napoli to their first Scudetto title in 33 years.
