Manchester United Treble winner Peter Schmeichel has praised Jonny Evans, describing him as the Red Devils’ best defender after his impressive performance against Aston Villa.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Schmeichel said Erik ten Hag was proven right for trusting Evans in such an important fixture.
