Fulham completed the deadline-day capture of Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan, signing the Nigerian winger on an initial loan that includes a buy option which could lift the package to around €25–26 million.
The deal, confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his official X account, was finalised in the closing stages of the window; Chukwueze travelled to London, passed his medical, and is now at Fulham’s training ground to be integrated into the squad and join his countrymen Iwobi and Bassay, who were in action in Fulham’s controversial 2-nil loss to Chelsea.

“Samu Chukwueze to Fulham, here we go! Deal agreed on initial loan with buy option clause not mandatory. Total package could reach fee over €25/26m, he’s now at Fulham training ground after medical already done. “
Softfootball reports that the agreement is said to be a loan with an optional, non-mandatory purchase — a low-risk route for Fulham that still offers serious gains if Chukwueze rediscovers his best form and starts performing.
The 25-year-old made the move to Milan from Villarreal in 2023 but never nailed down a regular starting role, managing 69 appearances and eight goals for the Rossoneri. At times, his pace and direct dribbling flashed through, yet consistency proved elusive.

Fulham get a player who can stretch defences, take on full-backs and provide a different attacking outlet out wide — exactly the sort of profile that can thrive in the Premier League with the right minutes.
For Chukwueze it’s a clear chance to reset his career and play regularly; for Fulham it’s a calculated deadline-day gamble with clear potential reward. How quickly he settles and how often he’s available will determine whether the buy option becomes a long-term investment for Craven Cottage.
