The moment quickly went viral, with many fans joking about the incident. Some even compared it to what rival supporters had wished would happen to Arsenal’s Premier League trophy, after the Gunners ended their 22‑year wait by winning the 2025/26 EPL title. However, many others simply described it as a celebration gone wrong.
The dramatic scenes came after Spartak Moscow defeated FC Krasnodar 4–3 on penalties, following a 1–1 draw in the Superfinal held at Luzhniki Stadium. The victory secured Spartak another major domestic honour, though the trophy itself did not survive the celebrations.
