Softfootball understands that AS Roma are stepping up their efforts to complete a loan move for Giacomo Raspadori from Atlético Madrid, with negotiations entering a decisive phase.
The framework of the deal has already been settled between the two clubs, and there is growing pressure now to get the player on board, as reported by sport expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X account.

He said:
AS Roma are advancing in talks over personal terms with Giacomo Raspadori. Atlético Madrid agreed two weeks ago to loan move for €1.5m fee plus buy option clause around €20/23m package. Deal underway.
Roma and Atlético agreed on the structure of the transfer roughly two weeks ago. The proposal includes a €1.5 million loan fee, along with an option to buy set between €20 million and €23 million, a figure that could increase slightly through performance-related bonuses.
From the club side, everything is basically done. The remaining obstacle is convincing Raspadori himself. Roma have intensified talks with the player’s representatives and recently improved their contract offer. The Giallorossi are now willing to pay around €4 million net per season, a clear sign of how much they value the 25-year-old forward.

Raspadori, who is currently in Saudi Arabia due to Atlético Madrid’s commitments, is carefully considering the proposal, with a decision expected very soon.
Still, the situation is far from straightforward. Raspadori is reportedly reluctant to leave after joining the club just a few months ago from Napoli in a €22 million move.
Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini has been a long-time admirer of Raspadori and believes his profile fits perfectly into his high-intensity, movement-heavy system.

Roma are not prepared to wait forever. Sources say the club has given the player a few days to make up his mind, especially with Atlético’s involvement in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Real Madrid today potentially complicating things.
Napoli and Lazio are both monitoring the situation closely and could move with permanent offers in the €20–23 million range. For Roma, Raspadori remains a priority. Whether he feels ready to turn the page again so soon, that’s the real question now.
