A new video from Rio Ferdinand on X has stirred things nicely after Liverpool’s shocking 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest, a result reported by SoftFootball. The loss immediately pushed the conversation around Arne Slot into panic mode as Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk admitted the team is facing a big crisis.
Rio filmed himself strolling through what looks like a chilly city park, hoodie up, sunglasses on, almost like some retired football monk reflecting on the chaos of modern football. He did not waste time digging into Liverpool’s collapse, as seen in the video from his official X account.
He pointed out that Slot arrived at Anfield looking like the guy with all the answers, a coach who immediately convinced people he could follow Klopp.
Rio said in the video:
Slot came in and had all the answers. Last season we were going wow at his tactics. But this season it’s gone Pete Tong. Liverpool fans are hiding behind sofas and calling for his sack after a few losses.

Rio also joked about fan hypocrisy. He noted that Liverpool supporters spent years laughing at rivals whenever things went wrong. Now some of them are panicking. The funniest part was his salute to Sean Dyche. According to Rio, the Nottingham Forest boss was written off many times, seen as too old school in a world that worships young tactical masterminds.
