Softfootball understands that Declan Rice has been one of Arsenal’s standout performers this season, and it’s starting to show in both results and confidence.

The Gunners currently sit top of the Premier League and Champions League tables while also reaching the Carabao Cup semi-finals, and Rice has played a huge role in that run.

Speaking in a recent interview ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Liverpool today, as reported by Arsenal via their official X account, Rice stated how important the game is for Arsenal’s title charge.

He said:

It’s a massive game. We need the Emirates to be on it again. We’re unbeaten at home, we need to go out there and give it everything we’ve got.

Rice also admitted he’s really enjoying his football again, especially after a slightly slow opening to the campaign.

He stated:

I’m loving it, I can only take every game as it comes, but when I’m going on the pitch now, I’m full of confidence, full of energy.

He was honest enough to admit that he wasn’t at his best in the first few matches of the season, though it didn’t worry him too much. With so many games ahead, he felt it was only a matter of time before things turned around.

A big part of that improvement has come from working closely with Mikel Arteta. Rice explained that the Arsenal boss knows exactly how to handle him, even if that sometimes means being tough.

Rice has focused on being consistent. Every season, he challenges himself to go again, to level up, and to remind people why Arsenal brought him in. At a club like Arsenal, he knows nothing is guaranteed.

Even with his strong individual form, he keeps bringing it back to the team. He believes Arsenal are where they are because of the squad, the manager, and everyone buying into the same idea.

He also stated that there’s no better feeling than winning football matches. For now, everything seems to be falling into place, and Rice looks determined to keep it that way.
