In a recent club statement which was shared on the club’s official X handle, Andrews revealed that Nelson is recuperating well. He said,

Reiss is doing pretty well. He took a knock a week or so ago, so we’ll see how he shapes up for Sunday. He should be in and around being available for Sunday. We’ll see how he goes over the next few days. There are going to be opportunities for lots of players over the coming weeks with the nature of the games that we have and the schedule over Christmas being a busy one. You need a squad that compete on a daily basis to set the environment that’s needed to play with an edge, I think we do that pretty well.

According to Andrews, there’s a busy schedule coming up for Brentford over the Christmas period, so it is important that the squad has players who can compete everyday as a competitive squad environment helps the players perform with intensity.

Reiss had fully participated in the Brentford match against Grimsby Town where he contributed a goal that led his team to a 5-0 win but he was absent in later matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Andrews also spoke about the busy schedule coming up for Brentford over the Christmas period. He emphasized the importance of having a squad where all players can compete on a daily basis.

With Nelson likely to play against Leeds, Brentford will hope to maintain their form and manage their demanding schedule successfully.

The squad depth and competitive spirit described by Andrews will also be important in the upcoming fixtures as the team aims to secure key points in the Premier League.
