Real Madrid are internally assessing the possibility of bringing back Toni Kroos in a non-playing role within the club’s management structure, according to Fabrizio Romano via his Official x handle.
He stated:
Real Madrid are considering bringing back Toni Kroos at the club in the management/hierarchy area, @diarioas reports. A possibility being assessed internally, while there is no official proposal to Kroos at this stage.
Softfootball earlier reported that Back in June 2025, Kroos stated that Real Madrid had yet to truly replace him in midfield, a view that aligns with the club’s current plans to sign a new midfielder this summer as they look to fill the void left by his departure.

At this stage, no formal proposal has been made, but discussions are ongoing as the club considers integrating the former midfielder into its hierarchy. Kroos, who retired in 2024, has remained in Madrid and continues to stay closely connected with the club.
Reports suggest talks are progressing over a potential return to the Santiago Bernabéu in an off-field capacity, marking a new chapter in his relationship with the club.

Meanwhile, Álvaro Arbeloa has expressed strong belief in Real Madrid’s chances of overturning their deficit against FC Bayern Munich, describing the upcoming UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg as a “battle” where the team will give “200%”
