RB Leipzig are in talks to extend the contract of rising star Yan Diomandé, with discussions underway with his new representatives to keep him at the club for at least one more season, according to Fabrizio Romano via his x handle.

RB Leipzig are discussing new deal with Yan Diomandé new agents to try keep him at the club for one more season. Increased salary, longer contract… and a release clause being considered. Diomandé will decide also based on bids this summer.

Softfootball earlier reported that Interest in the young talent has been growing since February, when FC Bayern Munich and several Premier League clubs were linked with a potential move.

The proposed deal includes an improved salary, a longer contract, and the possibility of inserting a release clause, as Leipzig attempt to fend off strong interest from top European clubs. Diomandé is expected to make a final decision based on offers received during the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, teammate Castello Lukeba is expected to leave Leipzig this summer in search of a new challenge. The club are reportedly open to offers below his €80 million release clause, with a deal likely to be agreed in the region of €65–70 million.
