Manchester United star, Rasmus Hojlund has delivered a clear message to fans and manager Ruben Amorim regarding his future at the club.
Responding to the ongoing speculation surrounding him amid Benjamin Sesko transfer, the striker let his play do the talking, opening the scoring in United’s 4-1 victory over Bournemouth in Chicago.
Two years after he joined United from Atalanta for £72M, many fans will agree that he is a failed signing but the Danish international is adamant that he will fight for his place in the side who will be challenging for a European spot next season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, citing Daily Mail via his official X handle revealed that Rasmus Højlund has reaffirmed his commitment to Manchester United amid recent transfer speculation.
Romano stated:
“Rasmus Højlund on his future: “I think my plan is very clear and that is for me to STAY at Manchester United“
“I want to fight for my spot whatever happens”.
Rasmus Hojlund also took a moment to reflect on his personal growth since joining Manchester United, addressing the criticism he faced from sections of United fanbase following a challenging debut season, reflecting on his growth and the lessons learned, the 22-year-old striker highlighted the importance of patience and perspective.
He said:
“I am still very young, people sometimes forget that.
“I am only 22 years old, I have learned a lot, and I think that shows in my game. I have done very well so far during the pre-season… I want to stay here.
“Obviously, not every striker is scoring 100 goals at the age of 22 (like Erling Haaland). But I’ve learned a lot, I think you can see in my game. I’m starting to develop and become even better in the basics.”
The comments came after United’s dominant win over Bournemouth, where Hojlund opened the scoring. Rasmus Hojlund has not been directly told by the club that he’s up for sale. While some outlets suggested the club may listen to offers if a new striker arrived, the 22-year-old has now left no room for doubt.
However, Softfootball understands that he could be offered to Leipzig in exchange to negotiate a lower fee for Sesko. Inter Milan are also reportedly monitoring the Danish’s situation ahead of a potential move to bring the player back to Serie A.
Rasmus Hojlund determination to succeed at Old Trafford regardless of who else is brought in will be music to the ears of Amorim. It remains to be seen whether he manages to hold down a regular starting spot at Manchester United next season.
