Bayern Munich gave an update about the player’s condition on their official media. The statement read:

Raphaël Guerreiro suffered a slight injury to his stomach muscles in Bayern’s Bundesliga game against Hamburg, as confirmed by the club’s medical department. As a result, the 31-year-old Portugal international is set for a spell on the sidelines.

Interestingly, Guerreiro came on at half-time against Hamburger SV but was forced off later in the second half.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich will unleash Nicolas Jackson against his parent club, Chelsea. The Senegalese joined the German champions on loan this summer and it would be a chance to show the London team what they are missing.

Jackson has already sent out a warning to Chelsea ahead of the Champions League match. He is ready to hand the Blues an opening day defeat. Enzo Maresca’s side tried recalling Jackson from the Bayern loan move after an injury to Liam Delap but he refused.
