Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are keen to sign a brilliant Premier League midfielder as possible replacement for Fabian Ruiz, Softfootball reports.
The UEFA Champions League winners are currently competing in the FIFA Club World Cup and will face in-form Bayern Munich in the Quarter-finals on Friday.
Interestingly, PSG are looking to improve their squad for next season but they are anticipating the likely departure of Fabian Ruiz who is strongly linked to Manchester United.
Reuben Amorim is a huge fan of Luiz and wants him in midfield to help the likes of Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo after his side finished 15th last season.
According to PSG Inside Actus, the French champions are looking to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton after manager Luiz Enrique demanded that Sporting Director Luis Campos get the midfielder to the club this summer.
Baleba who left Lille in 2023 after only 23 appearances for a transfer fee of €27m (£23.3m) is currently worth €40m (£34.5m) and open to a move back to Ligue 1.
Softfootball earlier reported that PSG are keen to sign a new midfielder this summer and Baleba could be the right fit for the club.
Baleba has made 61 appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion, scoring three goals with one assist across all competitions.
