Portugal have been crowned Best National Team of the Year 2025 at the prestigious Globe Soccer Awards, held in Dubai, marking a memorable year for the European giants.
Softfootball gathered the honor follows Portugal’s impressive triumph in the 2025 UEFA Nations League, where they defeated Spain 5–3 on penalties after a thrilling 2–2 draw in the final. Their consistency and dominance throughout the year played a key role in earning them global recognition.
The award ceremony in Dubai also celebrated other major winners, including Los Angeles FC, who claimed the Globe Soccer Award for Best Club Branding, and Bilal Haddad, who won the Koora Best Sports Content Creator in the Middle East award.
Adding to their achievements, Portugal have already secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, finishing top of UEFA Qualifying Group F in November 2025.
With silverware, global recognition, and World Cup qualification secured, Portugal’s 2025 stands out as one of the most successful years in their football history.
